Villa Albatroz is an excellent location for those wishing to enjoy the facilities and attractions of Estoril Coast and visit the nearby Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

In recent years, Cascais become one of the most attractive resorts on the capital's coastline with a wide choice of south facing beaches and the magnificent views of the Sintra mountains.

Cascais has many elegant shops and restaurants and a relaxed, laid-back atmosphere. A generation ago, this coast was one of the favourite places for the deposed royalty of European countries.

There is an 16th century fort in the town, known as the Cidadela. It is part of a whole line of fortresses  which were built along the Tagus estuary to protect Lisbon from being invaded.

A visit to the fortress is worthwhile for a beautiful view and also the small open-air artillery museum.

Villa Albatroz was fully restored and converted into a small hotel by the present owner some years ago.

The building is tastefully decorated, and gives luxury and comfort in superb surroundings.

There are eleven bedrooms with en suite bathrooms.  All are have with air-conditioning, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, radio, mini-bar and individual safe.

On the coastal road towards Lisbon, there is a large choice of the finest seafood restaurants, bars and shops and the largest casino in Europe is a short drive away in Estoril.

Within 10 kilometres there are 5 golf courses many of championship standard.

To the west the road runs along the western Atlantic beaches with long stretches of sand and wide bays where the surfers enjoy the waves.

Lisbon International Airport is 35 kms away and Sintra is approximately 12 kms from the Inn.
