Boega Hotel is located in the small walled town of Vila Nova de Cerveira. Dominated by its walled fort looking down over the river, it plays host to a very large weekly market on Saturday and an art school which promotes a bi-annual arts festival in summer time.
This Cerveira Hotel is set on the mountain with beautiful views over the minho river. It comprises three separate areas - main house, president's house and adjacent unit, all of which have been recently renovated.
The Presidents House is the oldest building in the property dating back to the 17th century. It has a total of 5 bedrooms including one suite.
In addition, there is a beautiful bar on the ground floor with an outside terrace open during the summer period. The bar is open for residents and non residents.
The Main House was built during the 18th century and has a total of 4 bedrooms and one suite, one of which has a veranda with views over the swimming pool and minho river.
The restaurant is set in a beautiful room decorated with traditional portuguese tiles and a remarkable wood ceiling. It serves traditional regional cuisine.
There are also two small conference rooms ideal for small meetings or private functions.
In addition to both above units, there is more modern additional wing with a total of 18 bedrooms including two suites. All these bedrooms have doors opening onto a private terrace with garden furniture.
All the 28 bedrooms have private bathrooms, TV and telephone. The rooms located in the annexe also have air conditioning and hair dryer.
Outside there is a large swimming pool and a tennis court.
The old sailing town of Viana do Castelo is approximately 38 kilometres away.
Caminha town centre is about 10 kilometres away from the Hotel offering a wide selection of restaurants, bars and shops. There is a Ferry to Spain (almost every 45 minutes) until around 7pm depending on season.
