Built in the middle of the 16th Century, Solar de Monfalim belonged to D. Goncalo de Sousa, a nobleman from the royal house.
Later, it was passed on to the Congominhos family, one of the most respected in the city.
The Monfalims, descendants from Congominhos, lived in this Manor House until the end of the 19th Century. In 1892, Solar de Monfalim received its first guest.
