Located in Vendas Novas in the Alentejo region, Estalagem Acez was the first house in the twon to be granted “City Heritage” status. The building was constructed in the end of the 19th century and was restored combining high comfort and refinement standards. It is located just a few minutes away from the famous “Palacio das Passagens”.
Estalagem Acez has a total of 25 bedrooms, decorated in vibrant colors in a combination of tradition and modernity. All bedrooms are equipped with air conditioning, direct dial telephone, satellite television, mini-bar and an individual safe. The Estalagem has rooms reserved for non smokers and for handicapped.
At the “Paragem das Rainhas” restaurant, guests can flavour a rich mixture of Portuguese and Spanish gastronomy. A vast but selected wine list complements the Chef's suggestions. The restaurant offers a quiet and unique atmosphere.

For many centuries, Vendas Novas was an important stopover when the royal families of Portugal and Spain travelled between the two countries. In order to provide a comfortable stay during those journeys, King Joao V ordered the construction of a royal palace. As a result, Vendas Novas flourished with commerce and new visitors, becoming an important town for trade between coastal towns and inland Alentejo.
